Our Franklin County Early Intervention (EI) program is part of a statewide system that provides coordinated services to parents of young children (birth to 3 years) with disabilities and developmental delays. This early childhood program builds upon and provides supports and resources to assist parents and caregivers to enhance children’s learning and development through everyday routines. It is a collaborative, home and community-based system where you and a team work together to provide ongoing support to your child.
Grounded in the philosophy that young children learn best in familiar settings, EI ensures every family has a local EI team, including a service coordinator, service providers, and your family. YAS specializes in providing the Service Coordination component of the team. Your dedicated team collaborates with you in your home and other familiar spaces to craft a comprehensive plan, known as an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). Through your IFSP, you and your team leverage existing supports and resources, building upon them to enhance your child's learning and development.
Making a referral is the first and easy step for Franklin County parents who have questions or concerns about their infant or child.
